Coaching PODS

Coaching PODs support a robust coaching culture and drive specific individual, group and organisational outcomes.

What is a coaching POD?

PODs are small groups of peers, who are brought together to discuss real business challenges or opportunities. They may cover one or multiple topics per session, and are coached by their peers to identify solutions.

Coaching PODs are often one element of a broad leadership development program, however they can also be used as a stand alone solution.

Why coaching PODS work

The deliberate, structured and process-oriented approach enables the group to focus on the needs of an individual colleague, supporting them to explore their chosen coaching goal, and to find their own solutions.

This supportive and curiosity-based environment helps participants break through their limiting beliefs, unproductive behaviours or frustrated aspirations, often achieving profound outcomes.

Benefits of PODS

The facilitated peer-to-peer learning helps leaders to:

Develop the essential skills of coaching, like non-judgmental questioning & powerful listening.

Create and embed ‘psychological safety’, the most important quality of high-performing teams.

Instil a process for peer-coaching and nurture ongoing use of this approach.

Address ‘confirmation biases’ by challenging assumptions.

Create a ‘critical mass’ of like-minded people using a common approach that precipitates a shift in culture.

Build a language and subsequent culture of authentic conversations and innovation.

Break down real and perceived barriers between functions to create a free flow of information.

Encourage ongoing feedback, relationship building and taking accountability.

What our clients say

As a result of the program I am now much more self-aware in meetings and conversations about how I address people and others. Also, I am making sure I use open questions that aren’t leading and allow people to have their input. I now always remain curious and never enter a conversation with my decision predetermined.
