Experience and background
Tom brings deep executive experience as a CEO, Group Vice President and Managing Director across listed and unlisted companies in Australia, Asia, and North America. His executive leadership career spans Ventia, Jacobs & Aker Kvaerner and Fluor Corporation where he led growth, transformation, and cultural reset across the industrial, engineering, and infrastructure sectors.
He now serves as Chair, Director and Advisor to boards across energy transition, resources, financial services, and social impact, helping leadership teams remain relevant and effective in changing environments.
As a coach and mentor, Tom draws on this breadth of experience to support leaders navigating transition. He helps them balance the commercial demands of performance, brand and stakeholder alignment with personal wellbeing and clarity of purpose. His focus is on enabling leaders to show up with courage, build accountable teams, and lead in a way that delivers sustainable growth for their organisations and themselves.
Tom's approach
Tom works with CEOs and senior executives navigating complexity, growth or change, whether they are stepping into a new role, leading a transformation, or rebalancing after periods of sustained pressure or burnout. His coaching approach begins with the executive’s wellbeing, helping them align professional demands with personal clarity and purpose.
Drawing on decades as a CEO, senior executive, and active Board Director, Tom brings a depth of insight into the commercial, cultural, and personal dimensions of leadership. He helps leaders see what’s possible beyond their current horizon, building the confidence and capability to lead with courage, presence and accountability.
Tom is particularly effective with leaders managing M&A, turnarounds or cultural transitions who are facing pressure to perform while aligning teams, resetting culture, or navigating new expectations. He collaborates with clients to shape inclusive, high-performing teams and align strategy with action for sustainable growth for both the individual and their organisation.
