Swee Heng had been practicing leadership and management for 31 years in 3 large organizations, working in the management, operations and human capital functions. He was, from Year 2000 to 2010, the Asia Pacific Human Resource Director and a member of the Regional Management Board for Reed Business, a division of RELX plc. He led the Deloitte Singapore’s Human Resource function from 1997-2000. Swee Heng had also held key strategic and operational positions in the Singapore Armed Forces from 1979 to 1997.

Approach

Swee Heng’s approach to coaching is simply be there for the clients. In his sessions, he engages, creates safety and enables his clients to take the lead in the coaching agenda. He collaborates and at the same time, readily challenges his clients to push the boundary, to be more than what they can be or do. In the words of a director of an international telco company: “My appreciation to you as a quintessential coach with astute observation and listening capabilities, and importantly to motivate any individuals to perform to their very best abilities”.

Qualifications

Swee Heng is a Professional Certified Coach from the International Coach Federation (ICF) with more than 2,000 coaching hours. He is a certified Shared Leadership team coach, a solution-focused trained coach and also coaches using the Enneagram, LSI, Social Styles and Stake-holder Centered Coaching frameworks. He has been a practice leader since 2010 and is adept at using digital technology and integrated learning in his coaching and facilitation work society.

Personal Insights

Swee Heng is a Member of the Board of Council of the Singapore Institute Of Management.
At home, Swee Heng keeps fit and healthy with daily jogs or walks. He also enjoys cooking. He is the family chef, creating healthy and sumptuous meals for his wife and 2 children, who are in the early twenties.
