A specialist in team and board effectiveness, Peter has deep expertise in senior leadership decision-making, fostering ethics-based cultures, and navigating risk and governance challenges. His work spans corporate, government, and community organizations, consistently delivering impactful leadership and organizational development strategies.
Peter’s career began in public service, where he served as a cabinet adviser and speechwriter for prominent national ministers, including Dr. Michael Wooldridge (Health) and Alexander Downer (Foreign Affairs). He then transitioned to consultancy at McKinsey & Company, focusing on leadership teams and board effectiveness. Since 2004, as Executive Director of Peter Collins and Associates, he has honed his expertise in leadership development, ethics, and strategic planning for public sector organizations and ASX-listed companies.
In the corporate sector, Peter has worked with senior leaders across major global corporations, such as BHP, South 32, and Newmont, and financial institutions like Itaú, ANZ, NAB, and Allianz. His contributions also encompass national government agencies and regulators, supporting leadership teams in critical areas, including defense, justice, science, and law enforcement.
Peter’s expertise in sports leadership is equally impressive.
