Athalie held senior leadership roles at BHP and BT Group in the UK, including Chief People Officer and Chief Human Resources Officer. Prior to moving into executive leadership, she spent 15 years with Accenture, advising organisations on strategy, mergers and acquisitions, organisational redesign and business transformation.
She has led people and workforce strategy through large-scale organisational change, digital transformation and productivity programs. At BT, her work spanned a global workforce of more than 115,000 employees across 180 countries.
Across consulting and executive leadership roles, Athalie has worked on CEO and executive succession, leadership and culture, talent development, risk management, mergers and acquisitions, and large-scale transformation. She served as a Director of the BHP Foundation from 2016 to 2022 and now combines non-executive, advisory, coaching and mentoring work.
Athalie works with leaders stepping into larger roles, navigating significant transitions, leading through organisational change, or managing complex stakeholder environments. She also supports executives preparing for CEO and C-suite roles, strengthening their effectiveness with boards, and making important career and succession decisions.
Her style is direct, curious and practical. Drawing on experience as both a senior executive and management consultant, she asks thoughtful questions, shares observations candidly and provides perspective where it adds value. Her role is not to provide the answers, but to help leaders think more clearly, focus on what matters most, and move forward with confidence.
Outside work, Athalie enjoys travelling, photography, theatre and the arts. She is the mother of adult twins, values time with family and friends, and is an enthusiastic but still-learning vegetable gardener. She shares her home with her husband, Tim, and Hamish, her Scottish Terrier.
