Trish is an experienced successful leader, skilled communicator, creative problem solver and change manager. With over 30 years’ experience in the public sector, working in both regional and central office roles, she has a detailed understanding of the machinery of Government.
In her role as General Manager, Human Resources for the Department of Education and Communities, which she held for over 8 years, Trish was responsible for setting the strategic direction and leading the development and implementation of human resource strategies, policies and programs for a diverse workforce of over 100,000 full time equivalent staff. During this time Trish drove the development of, negotiated and implemented a number of significant employment, organisational and cultural reforms to meet Government priorities, to improve organisational performance and to support the delivery of quality education and training.
Trish is an innovator and reformer with a strong focus on stakeholder engagement and the development of strategic partnerships to drive change and reform and to develop and nurture a culture of continuous improvement. She has extensive experience in developing and mentoring staff and is a skilled presenter and communicator.
In the 2013 Australia Day Honours Trish was awarded the Public Service Medal for outstanding public service in NSW as the General Manager, Human Resources in the Department of Education and Communities.
