Deborah Peterson

Deborah Peterson has more than 15 years of Strategic/ Management Consulting experience across 13 different industry sectors. She has consulted on assignments ranging from organizational strategy, organizational total rewards strategies, senior management team effectiveness, organizational development, leadership & high potential development, strategic communications, competency mapping, change management, senior leadership facilitated sessions, executive and team coaching among others. Deborah is also a sought-after speaker/panelist at conferences both in Singapore and abroad (e.g. TedX Singapore, Denver’s Executive Forum’s CEO Breakfast, etc.)

With over 25 years of full spectrum HR & Talent Management expertise and experience in senior management, Deborah is well positioned to help organisations to grow in a highly dynamic world. Her most recent corporate role as the VP HR (Greater Asia) for the world’s 3rd largest Medical Technology Organization, has equipped Deborah with the skillset and empathy to navigate the future of the post-pandemic workplaces. Her other highlights include playing HRBP to the top management team members and sponsors, collaborated with IHLs such as Cornell University, to deliver programs for the organizations. Deborah was also Regional Matrix Manager for HR COEs (Total Rewards, Talent Management, Acquisition & Culture, Associate Service Center) and oversaw the Corporate Communications and CSR (Greater Asia) functions. She has shoulder international responsibilities of 10 countries, 8 Manufacturing Plants, 1 Global Shared Services Center (in Malaysia) and the Greater Asia Corporate Office (Based in Singapore), and understands local cultures, mindsets and working environments.

Deborah has led major post acquisition activities in the region, where the organization doubled in revenue and employee headcount. She successfully facilitated people and business integration & restructuring (GTMs), harmonization of systems & policies, implementation of new delivery models, delivery of financial synergies, culture and change management. She has partnered the senior management team to integrate and restructure Business Units, Corporate functions, etc.. for business optimization & revitalization.

Qualifications

Deborah holds a Master of Education & HRD from George Washington University, Masters of Education and a Bachelors of Arts & Social Sciences from National University of Singapore. She is certified in various professional instruments such CEB’s battery of psychometric tests – Occupational Personality Questionnaire, General Ability Tests & the Motivational Questionnaire. She is accredited in MBTI & the MBTI Extended Interpretive Report (EIR), SkillsScope & Benchmarks 360º instrument.

Personal Insights

On the personal front, Deborah is an avid trekker and loves to hike. She enjoys having deep meaningful conversations with her young adult daughters, and dotes on her pet Shetland Sheepdog.
