Peter is an experienced entrepreneur and investor, a Chartered Accountant, a qualified supply chain manager as well as an executive coach and mentor. He has led various organisations in retail, logistics, IT manufacturing, offshore & marine engineering as Director, CEO, COO, Finance manager. Peter is someone who has worked through the ranks, and takes pride in having started his career from very humble beginnings.
In his leadership capacity in the corporate world, Peter has often overseen, participated and managed the full spectrum of corporate activities, from the startup of new companies, to mergers and acquisitions, integration, downsizing, exit strategies of businesses, which included the closure of companies, leading to retrenchment and outplacement of employees, both locally and overseas.
In recent years, Peter has been actively involved with the Nanyang Technological University’s (NTU) NTUitive/Technology Centre and Nanyang Business School’s MBA programs. Through these centres, he mentors and/or coach their graduate students in their startup businesses and corporate careers. Peter is admittedly still “young at heart” and finds it easy to connect with the younger executives and entrepreneurs.
Peter also holds a senior position in the Singapore Armed Forces as an NS Man. He is often involved with programs to identify, nurture and train new leadership teams where he has the opportunities to impart his experience with the junior officers by instilling the highest level of discipline in them, and ensuring operational readiness at all times.
Qualifications
Peter is a certified coach in solutions-focused coaching methodology. He holds a graduate diploma in Logistics Management, and is a Chartered Accountant.
Personal Insights
Peter is volunteers actively at a hydroponics farm that provides a sanctuary and vocational training for youths with special needs and senior citizens. His passion has fueled him to build a rooftop urban farm in the high rise setting of Singapore. He is happily married with a teenage son, and continues to find time in between all his hectic schedules to run and play lots of golf.
