Melanie’s business background and exposure to leadership and management across multiple industry sectors, has given her a passion for executive coaching and a keen understanding of leadership development. As an Executive Coach and Facilitator with Stephenson Mansell Group, over the last 12 years, she has applied her passion and experience to help executives and their teams realise their career goals, broaden individual leadership capabilities and become high performance leaders in their fields.
She is driven to motivate her clients to achieve a balance between personal and career objectives. She believes the coaching focus helps build clarity of purpose, connect to team motivation and enable true influencing of relationships.
Melanie enjoyed a successful 20 year career in the banking and finance industries, where she was an Associate Director in both Project & Structured Finance and Institutional Banking with ANZ, and acted as a Corporate Finance Coach within the Business Bank, coaching lending managers to build strategic partnerships with clients. Her banking expertise spanned key industry sectors including resources, construction projects, healthcare, manufacturing, technology and telecommunications across a broad range of complex financing techniques.
Within the finance sector, Melanie has also worked as a management consultant with developing companies, insurance groups and government trading enterprises across several business areas, and developed corporate financing strategies for major NSW government assets when she worked for NSW Treasury Corporation.
Melanie has achieved significant coaching results with a diverse range of organisations and senior leadership teams in Australia and globally, including the major banks, law firms and top 100 ASX companies (e.g. Campbell Arnotts, NRMA, K&L Gates, Office of State Revenue, Westpac, NAB, Optus, Westfield, Transfield, Energy Australia, EFIC, Freehills, Lend Lease, Boral, Commonwealth Bank, Optus, ASIC, FSC, APRA, Macquarie Bank).
In recent years, Melanie has achieved successful outcomes with facilitated leadership transformation programs for major property, manufacturing, finance and telecommunications companies, where she coached senior executives, designed and co-facilitated team workshops, shadowed executive meetings to coach and extend team skills. Her own business background gives her key insights into organisational structures and complexities and combines with her passion for individual development to achieve positive results. Facilitation of public leadership programs have also enhanced her agility in helping clients adapt to new leadership challenges.
